Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association Meeting / Jam!!!

Post by Peter Hart »

APRIL 14, 2024!! 12 O'CLOCK: HIGH NOON to 4PM!

Mark it on your calendar and your watch!!

The Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association will once again be having their (our) quarterly meeting / jam / and potluck lunch!

The meeting will be held at VFW post 5392, 134 Shove Street Tiverton, Rhode Island 02878

If your dues are due, please do do your duty and do pay your dues... Ahem...I am delinquent on mine as well so let's DO what is due and DO pay our DUES!!

Also, if possible, please bring a dish for the potluck that can be shared with everyone (food that is)...

All are welcome. Come and play or come and listen, relax and take in the music. It will be a great time for all.

Thanks for posting this, Peter. I'll be there, and I hope other area steelers will come too. It's a lot of fun--and the actual official meeting is brief!

Hello all, this sounds like fun. I am from Easthampton MA and hope to make it out to check out the jam. I know it's a members meeting but it's open to the public? thanks.

Nick, we play easy tunes like Way to Survive, Tennessee Waltz, where everyone gets a chance to play a chorus or two.

Ron, hope to see you there and yes, guests are encouraged!

I believe we'll have our usual bass player, the wonderful Elaine Ellis. And maybe a guitar strummer or two.

And I am hoping some new players will show up--if not to play, at least to hobnob and check out the various axes--including Manny's unique home-built guitar.
