Making Plans - Arnette Mills
One of my all time favorite players. So many tasteful licks and accents in his playing,.

Re: Making Plans - Arnette Mills
that bar STANDING and wiggling ON the guitar makes me so nervous, I had to just turn around and listen only without watching.

Those who produce Tablature did never use it.
I say it humorously, but I mean it.

Any yes, even with all that, PERFECT ... I've tried holding the bar like that, ala Bobbee Seymore and Terry Crisp and I totally lose sight of where I'm at. Yeah I know, play with your ears, but holding the bar like that for me is like playing with ONLY my ears cause I feel blind.J D Sauser wrote: 25 Dec 2025 7:16 am that bar STANDING and wiggling ON the guitar makes me so nervous, I had to just turn around and listen only without watching.Perfect E9th

Arnette obviously perfected this method, but not this kid.

I was referring to the bar standing up in between the two key-heads threatening to tip over at each wiggle of the guitar.Dale Rottacker wrote: 25 Dec 2025 7:32 amAny yes, even with all that, PERFECT ... I had however not observed HIS bar TECHNIQUE and had to go back to the video and yes, there are a few name-players having the index over to the other side of the bar. It's also interesting to see him use the thumb to push back the bar-hand whereas most will pull with the pinky and ring finger. Just like there are apparently irreconcilable differences between classic and Western horseback riding... there is not just "one" truth to technique(s).
Merry Christmas... J-D.

I with you now JD ... That's a pet peeve of mine, especially standing or laying them down between the necks. I just don't get it. I'll lay mine down inside the keyhead, but between the necks, NO SIR ... I had bar dings, and eventually that will add some.
