Merry Christmas, and a new song..

Post by Wally Moyers »

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas time at Our House” is a song written by my dad, Wally Moyers, Sr., around 1984. I recently came across an old cassette containing several of his songs—recordings he sang himself—and among them was this Christmas gem.

Each year, I try to create something special in my studio with my family for Christmas. This project became especially meaningful. Helping bring it to life were my son Jeremy on pedal steel, my wife LaTronda on background vocals along with my son Brady, and my cousin Gary Moyers.

Discovering that Dad had written such a wonderful Christmas song was special in itself, but what truly amazed us was that, with the help of AI, we were able to use his actual vocal from that original cassette demo. Being able to build new music around his voice—so many years later—was incredibly moving for all of us.

We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating the music behind his voice.

— Wally Moyers, Jr.

Very nice Wally, I enjoyed your music along with your dad's vocals and lyrics. My dad was a great musician. He played baritone horn in the Army Air Corp Band during WW II, was an instrumental teacher and school band director for 36 years, played viola in the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, and played various instruments in square dance and prom bands during his lifetime. I'm glad you could work with the recording of you dad's vocals and make music with him once again.
