Be careful adjusting pedal travel. You may end up having to move the pull rods into different bell cranks and/or changer holes to get the strings to pull all the way.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Re: the throw on a mullen discovery c pedal
Throw? Are you wanting the pedal to not go down as far as its present level? Or the pedal to go down farther?
OR Are you needing more or less pull, To properly tune string 4 E to F#?
Or properly tune String 5 B to C#?
If we know the problem, The solution will be easy to figure out.
Good Luck finding problem and cure.

Re: the throw on a mullen discovery c pedal
my 4th string isn't quite getting to an in tune F# from the E so I just need for the C pedal to travel just a tiny bit further.Because I'm having to overtune to get it up that whole tone. I just can't find where the ajustment screw for the C pedal is. The picture in the manual show a G2 and it doesn't look he same on the Discovery. It will only need a very slight adjustment .

If anyone out there that has a Mullen Discovery could take a snapshot of the adjustment screw for the travel length of the C pedal That would be all I'd need to remedy my problem for sure. Thanks

Re: the throw on a mullen discovery c pedal
The pictures of the Discovery on Mullen web sight. I see no pedal stop adjustment. But the Discovery has Mullen standard hex cross shafts and bell cranks.
If you do not have a guitar cradle. To safely hold the guitar upside down.
1. Take a soft folded towel, To protect the front of the guitar body. Lay it on a table, Or on the floor. Tilt the guitar over, Lay the guitar front down on the towel.
2. Unscrew and remove the left rear leg, For easier access to the bell cranks.
3. Move the C pedal downward, As if the guitar is setting upright. Observe rod pulling 4th string Changer raise lever.
4. When you identify the pull rod, Unscrew its nylon tuning nut 2 turns.
5. Trace the 4th string pull rod back to the C pedal cross rod and bell cranks. The bell crank, (Lever with 5 holes), The pull rod is attached to.
6. Draw a sketch of bell crank, Mark hole pull rod is in. (For reference)
7. With needle nose pliers, remove the little hitch pin from L end of pull rod.
8. Remove the pull rod. And reinstall In the next hole, Farther away from the cross shaft. (For longer travel). Reinsert the hitch pin in the pull rod.
9. Replace leg, Set guitar up and tune the 4th string E to F# pull.
Good Luck in this project.

I kinda suspected that might be the case. Thanks ever so much for taking the time to walk me through the process Bobby.

Re: the throw on a mullen discovery c pedal
I had to just the pedal stop on my C pedal, on the Discovery I got last Sept.
https://mullenguitars.com/wp-content/up ... 179899.pdf
Pg 13 - note, this is NOT where it is on the discovery, at least on mine, but using this to explain.
The flat piece of metal along the front apron, on mine, there are allen screws recessed through that piece. Almost directly behind the pedal rod, toward the front of the steel.
I backed it off a few turns, all good.

Rich thanks so much. I saw those recessed screws but didn't want to mess with them for fear of not knowing would happen.

Re: the throw on a mullen discovery c pedal
Check the 4th string for .014 diameter. Size in most string sets.
With the 5th string tuning proper on the C pedal.
Rule of physics, Smaller 4th string will have to pull further to reach proper note.
If you move the pull rod on the bell crank, And adjust nylon tuning nut.
"Done".
If you adjust the pedal rod stop. To cure this problem. It could affect the 5th string, Which could become another problem.
Then the pedal height will have to be readjusted. By the connector on the pedal rod, To set the height of the pedal.
Good luck on adjustment, Happy Steelin.
